Lucas Harsh has practiced law in Gwinnett and surrounding counties since 2000.  His practice is limited to family law, criminal defense, and personal injury.  Over the years, Lucas Harsh has handled thousands of cases in Gwinnett and surrounding areas and has a broad range of experience in these case types and these judicial circuits.

The reason Lucas Harsh does not take all types of cases, but rather, limits his practice to criminal, domestic, and personal injury is to have intimate knowledge in those areas of law to best assist his clients.  Jacks of all trades are often masters of none, and focusing on what he does best helps him to obtain the best results for each client given the facts and circumstances of his or her case.  Limiting his practice areas also helps him to have an intimate knowledge of the peculiarities of each particular court that an attorney from somewhere else may not be aware of.

Lucas Harsh grew up in Gwinnett County, and is a graduate of South Gwinnett High School.  After receiving a Bachelor of Arts at Emory University, he went on to law school at Georgia State University College of Law where he received his Juris Doctorate.  At Georgia State College of Law, Lucas Harsh was in the top 20 percent of his class, on the Law Review Editorial Board, and published in the Georgia State University Law Review.

Lucas Harsh is involved in a number of civil, social, and fraternal organizations.  He is a Cub Scout den leader, he has coached seasons of soccer at the YMCA, and he is a past president and current member of the Gwinnett Historical Society.  He is a member of Cannon United Methodist Church where he has taught Sunday School.

Lucas Harsh is a past president of the Criminal Defense Section of the Gwinnett County Bar Association. He is also a member of the State Bar of Georgia, Gwinnett County Bar Association, and the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
